Problem statement

The public in Austin need to have a resource that lets them explore regional trees or birds on the go because an ecologically aware public will care and advocate for conservation.

Also, opening space for connecting with local ecologies (through curiosity) is beneficial to mental health and belonging.

The hope is that such a tool may be helpful for educating the public.

Audience

The general public should be able to use the app. It should be optimized for screen readers, and use alt-text.

Format

Must be a website designed mobile-first. The website should also look okay on desktop platforms. A mobile-first approach will ensure our app looks good in the field.

Task flow

The app should follow this general flow:

1. User can browse (peruses, sorts, etc.) a collection of regional species (trees or birds) found in the Austin area.
2. As the user browses, they can evaluate each type of species (sorts, categorizes, etc.).
