Anatomy of the Sessions

The entire sophomore review will have a total of 7 sessions, with each session having two rooms running presentations in parallel. Each room will have a moderator (either Jon or Zach Bynes) making sure the rooms stay on course.

Sessions will have the following components:

Setup (15-30mins). Students bring in artifacts, help with the setup of food, and get their presentation ready on projectors.

Faculty + student introductions (15mins). All reviewing faculty and students in the room will be introduced by the moderator.

Presentations (30mins). Students will run presentations. Each presentation will include slides that auto-forward. Each student in the session will present 1 project. Presentations will occur back-to-back.

Open studio (30mins). Students, faculty, and guests mingle, observe and interact with student artifacts, discuss projects with students.

Clean-up (15mins). Students tear down their artifacts, reset the space, and help with food refreshment and clean-up.

Break (15-30mins). Breaks are built in in-between sessions for faculty to rest.

Adjourn to discuss and finalize (45mins). After their sessions for the day, faculty should adjourn to rooms indicated on the schedule (and visualized on the map below), evaluate students according to the rubric, and finalize feedback on student digital portfolios.
