GeoGuessr - Let's explore the world!

I’m not recommending replacing your walk with geoguessr, but it offers a unique angle at approaching Google’s Earth data playfully. Pro players know a lot about the world (but should still go outside too…)

Geoguessr player can find CAPTCHA locations based on extensive playing of the game. It’s unbelievable how well pro Geoguessr players understand the diffreentiating features of the built environment.

RANDONAUTICA

I don’t necessarily recommend using randonautica but it attempts at funding meaningful attention via technology in its own weirdo way!

iNaturalist

I do recommend this one.

Identify Bird Songs and Calls with Sound ID

I also recommend this one.

Requirements and constraints

Projects must adhere to the following constraints:

  1. Your idea should be a simple set of instructions written on a piece of paper.
  2. You should design for the persona constructed in-class (based on you and peer’s similar interests).
  3. Connect design decisions in this process to research collected and synthesized in the previous brief. Include in your process blog writing.
  4. The idea should be tangible, simple, readily implementable. This is because you will actually test your idea out.
  5. You must revise your concept from II. ATTENTION

Design deliverables
